Welcome to Cedar Grove

Cedar Grove is a community-oriented initiative promoting rural cultural, educational, and economic renewal. Our offerings are accessible-to-all, intergenerational, and place-based, with a focus on integral and experiential learning. Cedar Grove is a nonprofit organization made up of three unique impulses, which will be developed in phases over time:

Waldorf Education

Fine & Folk Arts Education

Rural Community Renewal

Cedar Grove School & Acorn House Cooperative currently enrolling K-8!

Waldorf Education

Acorn House Kindergarten Cooperative

Acorn House is a parent-supported homeschool cooperative for kindergarten children, which began in autumn of 2020. Acorn House offers weekly educational enrichment inspired by Waldorf pedagogy, emphasizing holistic, play-based learning.

Cedar Grove School

Cedar Grove School is a registered California Multicultural Heritage School for children in 1st-8th grades, inspired by Waldorf pedagogy. Along with our weekly educational programming, we will also develop after-school arts education for all ages.

Fine & FOlk Arts Education

Cedar Grove will develop art, craft, and vocational education opportunities for youth and young adults. The heart of the initiative is the cultivation of craftsmanship, contemplative inquiry, and place-based sustainability research and action in a spirit of independence and accessibility.

Rural Community Renewal

Cedar Grove cultivates community festivals, music and theater productions, and literary events. We will develop a community time bank, and offer social renewal gatherings such as nonviolent communication training and deep democracy workshops.
